LEADING with VALUES, VISION and ACTION in SERVANT LEADERSHIP

It all matters in how we will continue making a difference, together, for everyone.

All of these factors are impacted by the policies, practices, procedures and programs that city council leadership create and impact. That is why Experience Matters to continue Making a Difference Together.

COMMUNITY-CENTERED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

I will continue promoting business growth that creates jobs in Western Duluth and across our city by building solutions, focused on priorities and directing action. Community Impact Development is good Economic Development. Ensuring the tax base is continues to increase, is sustainable and diverse across all neighborhoods, with property tax liability rooted in our community and business needs, recognizing and limiting the impacts on property owners.

INTERGOVERNMENTAL SOLUTIONS TO HEALTH DISPARITIES

I will continue working on the social, economic, and environmental health disparities in Western Duluth zip codes in collaboration with local and state partnerships. Authoring local policies that increase economic stability, wealth, income and living wage jobs. Access to housing, health, well-being and healthy food. Safe communities with continued results-based strategies for sustainable public and essential services.

VIBRANT NEIGHBORHOODS

I will continue building strong neighborhoods to enrich children, families, and individuals living in Western Duluth. Building healthy neighborhoods with good safety nets for everyone. Vibrant neighborhoods with places to live, work and play, continuing my work building Transformative Solutions for Innovative Community Impact. Community Impact Development begins with Community.

TRANSPORTATION

I will continue leading initiatives for improving aging infrastructure, roads, and streets, as well as increasing transportation connectivity locally and regionally. Connecting neighborhoods in Western Duluth in a way that moves us forward for safe multi-modal access in our Spirit Valley Business Hub area as well as issues impacting neighborhoods related to our seasonal access.
